A little bit about our fabrics. If you want to create Home Dec style projects our fabrics are a perfect choice as they have a heavy hand, a preferred quilting weight fabric, meaning they are a medium weight leaning towards heavy. So not easy to tear and will last longer than lighter weight quilt fabrics. But softer than Home Decorator fabrics that are dry clean only. Our fabrics are a premium 100% cottons and machine washable.

Quote from Ellen's Blog:
"I’m thinking about quilting again, or at least home dec sewing with quilting fabrics. Why? Because the most beautiful fabric is now available in quilting cotton. I am in awe of the stunning lines created by today’s designers, not only for the well-known fabric giants, but also by independent artists for their small companies. I am particularly fond of Robin Mynatt’s work for her company, Paris Bebe Fabrics. I think it speaks to me because I not only see the beauty her line would display in traditional quilts, but I also appreciate the utility of its’ application in home dec projects. Can’t you just imagine a duvet cover in this romantic print?
Coordinating pillow shams and a flouncy dust ruffle in a companion fabric would be tres jolie! And, they would all be machine washable! Unheard of with pricey home dec fabrics!
In addition to her lovely fabrics, Robin has a pattern (or kit) available for this Eiffel Tower pincushion. What an adorable gift!"

Gorgeous fabric! Will you have more designs with this weight? Is it still good for quilting?
Thanks, Robin!
Hi Susan! Thanks for your comment :) Our fabrics are designed excluisively as quilting fabrics. It actually costs more to have them made thicker, but it's what most quilters like (easier to handle too. We also have the first collection we made VIntage Roses that are more of an heirloom finer sewing fabric.
:)
